I love airports. And I love bathtubs. I love the sound of airplanes taking off. I might just move in at Oslo Gardermoen. I'd be happy ever after (while inhaling Norwegian chocolate by the bar).

After two nights of no sleep I finally arrived at Oslo Gardermoen Airport and picked the softest bed on earth. I'm mind blown and quite apathetic, but I think after a little nap I will be fresh again. Can't wait for this to really start.

After winning a trip to Norway, getting a grant for Macedonia and finding more and more people supporting me no matter what, I finally think my karma might have been overstretched over the past months. There's simply too much luck coming my way!

Today I got a bunch of insurances to protect me from periods of less luck. Let's hope I don't have to rely on them any time soon...

While I feel very safe in all life situations now (and like an old conservative grown-up, actually), I am packing for Norway and cleaning my room for the subletter. Jeeeeeeee, I'm excited. I'll even stay a day longer and might haunt some polarbears for you.

I'm truly against holidays that are only here to make people spend money for things nobody needs (such as Halloween and Valentine's day). Though just a few days ago I stumbled over this picture from last fall, and I decided to post it for all lovers.

I realized my last trip to Macedonia in December was not really posted to the blog. As running around Skopje and driving around in the rented yellow panda just didn't give me much time to do many updates. This a small selection from my Macedonian photography project about:blank. I traveled there in fall 2009, summer 2010 and winter 2010. My next trip is already planned.

We are currently talking to several people and places to have exhibitions of about:blank happen this year.

Last night I went to see >>Skopje - city of change<<, a photo exhibition held by the Goethe Institute Office in Skopje and the German-Macedonian Society. I met half of Macedonia there, including director and photographer Milcho Manchevski and the Macedonian embassador in Berlin, Kornelija Utevska-Gligorovska. What a great night!

A sweet girl from Taiwan spelled my name in Chinese for me. I love it, though I really have no clue how this can possibly make sense at all...? Maybe China and the places around should be the next destination on my life journey. How much are the flights?

While dreaming of China I am doing my taxes (ha!) and waiting for final infos on my coming trip to Norway. Good night, world.

Edit: WOW! Flights to Bejing are as low as 310€! I might as well give it another thought!

Last week >>Katja<< and I made a video of me to enter the >>Norway. Your Way<< competition offering an adventerous trip from Oslo to the Northcap.

Within just four days in the competition (we almost missed the deadline, woooohooo) we got some 1.000+ "likes" by facebook users. Though it was actually the most popular video in the competition, the guidelines stated clearly it's not all about popularity... so I had a hard time waiting.

A couple days ago I got a phone call from Hamburg interviewing me on my video and myself, two hours later I got the final confirmation that I am one of five winners going on the trip!

Unfortunately I was one of the first of the five notified, which is the reason I could not answer any of the "did you win?" requests I got over the past days (I even had to lie a couple times...). Please forgive me. I most probably suffered more than you not being able to tell!

Then I would..."

Finally, after some sleepless nights of collapsing and getting a hang of iMovie, here is my first ever self-made and self-edited video. It's not perfect, but I'm here to learn.
