In February I met up with Jess and Denise - founders of the amazing Geekettes movement to connect women in tech - to take their portrait. They have been super successful in Berlin and Germany and are currently expanding the Geekettes all over the world. Cheers girls, and congratulations!

I met Max at the film set of "In der Überzahl" (for which he won the Max Ophüls film prize for up and coming actor this spring) along with the wonderful Ulrich Thomsen and a great team in Brandenburg in winter 2011/12.

A few weeks ago Max and I met up and went on a walk through Kreuzberg's backyards and I snapped a few pictures. His odd beauty is remarkable and I think it was caught very well in these particular two photographs.

Weeks ago when the first snow fell in Berlin, >>Lydia Schamschula<< (whom I have photographed >>here<< and >>here<<) and I went on a walk around the glittering, shimmering, magical world out there.

A few months ago when I was heavily pregnant with mini-me (seems like years ago, actually...), I took photos of my friend and stunning actress >>Bea Brocks<< for her portfolio. Never got to show these, so here they are.

Weeks ago I took my belly and myself and had breakfast with >>this beautiful young lady<<. Kitzia is originally from Mexico and spent some time here in Berlin this summer, PLUS she's an amazing photographer, PLUS she's just really sweet. Love these because of all the emotions and am waving back to Mexico (check out the baby bee on picture #2).

Lisa and I went to university together (and this was years ago, oh my...). She's always been one of those promising girls from journalism classes, with a >>saucy writing<< and the right portion of self-confidence to >>move mountains<<. Almost two years ago, Lisa wrote her >>debut novel for Suhrkamp<<, now she's in the final throes of her new book for Berlin Verlag and a senior creative at one of Berlin's cool media agencies as well.

I shot Lisa's official author portrait a few weeks ago while drinking purple lemonade, spilling coffee on the table and having great conversations. Such a pleasure.

After shouting for the last chance of portraits before my maternity leave, a bunch of people contacted me for photos. >>This<< lovely young lady was one of my favourites, so kind, so unpretentious and sure so pretty. I'm still pumped of how much she loved the shoot and the outcome and can't wait to shoot portraits again with mini-me out here in the world.

Taking photos of friends when they do not pay attention has always been my favourite thing to do. I'm so lucky I've got such beautiful friends.

Back in the days when i was still studying and planning on becoming a journalist or a polician or both, I met >>Lydia<< on a film set during one of my first serious photography jobs, for MySpace Germany. She loved the photos I took of her and contacted me weeks later if I could take some serious headshots of her. Of course I could, and the pictures were the beginning of a long tradition of actor's photos I've taken over the past years. Lydia's from 2008 were still >>some of my favourites<< when she recently asked me to do it all over again.

I truly love these photos and the day walking around, loughing and chatting made me, once again, realize how much I love my job and everything that's related to it. Thanks for a wonderful day and a great set of new portraits, Lydia.
