I've been defying humidity and rain and am trying to enjoy possibly the last weeks of walking without falling over due to balance problems. Meanwhile, I'm probably eating, doing yoga or searching for hidden spots in the city. Happy Tuesday.

I remember last year's excessive thunderstorms and nostalgically think back to hours of sitting on the windowsill, watching lightning strike Berlin's TV tower and trying to >>catch it on photo<<. Unfortunately having a huge balloon in front of me to carry around doesn't make it easier to bend over the parapet and shoot, and I decided the risk might be too high with mini-me jumping around in there.

This year's summer seems to be quite similar (and possibly even "worse" - you know I love it, so I can't complain!) in terms of rain and thunderstorms. Today, N. and I went to have french toast and coffee at Ankerklause and just left when heavy rainfall surprised us just outside. We were lucky to have an "almost dry" spot under an umbrella outside and very fortunate to stand away far enough when the sunblind crashed down under the weight of the water masses (ready to kill, actually...).

The rain didn't stop for approximately a little eternity, and - smitten - I shot everyone passing by until we finally ran to the U-Bahn.

Mini-me decided to kick hard towards my back as soon as I sit or lay down today, so I'll be walking through Berlin all day, possibly taking a bunch of photos. Catch me if you can.

Last night I took some mood shots for my friends at >>fashiondaily.tv<< at one of their Berlin fashion week events. It was hard to stay sober while everyone was swimming in champagne and my belly decided to be extra big and iffy at once, but it was nice to stroll around, pick up lemonade and fingerfood and be the undercover photographer (while everyone's camera was big and superflashy, I tried to stay in the background and used my smallest analogue lens and a quite different perspective). Enjoy.

Taking photos of friends when they do not pay attention has always been my favourite thing to do. I'm so lucky I've got such beautiful friends.

As soon as I settled in Frankfurt, my body decided to take a break and get super sick. I'm already on the way to get better, but left with a running nose and a sad heart. Wish I could have seen and done more over there. This is what remains.

(I went to see a different doctor a few weeks ago just for once to get a nicer picture. He had to beat him hard to even show his face, but BAM!)

Walked for hours before my legs suddenly said STOP and Nic had to collect me by car somewhere in the middle of the city.

I've always been a >>night owl<< and never really needed that much sleep, but the past weeks have been putting me to bed early (which means before 1am) and torturing me with early morning wake ups between 4 and 5am. Since the sun bathes my room every morning, once I'm awake, there's no way back.
