We're getting ready for Christmas these days, buying and making last presents, eating tons of gingerbread and cookies and dancing in the snow. December has never been so lovely, if you ask me there's no need for summer anymore.

Mini-me has become the most relaxed, chilled-out baby. As long as he gets fed (often) and a diaper change every once in a while, he smiles and sleeps all day long. We're still waiting for the "war" people have predicted us. We're all in peace over here.

This morning, we all woke up into this magical light that only appears when it is SNOWING. Mini-me tends to sleep well all night, but when it get's bright in the morning, he starts to get wriggly. I got up with him and we stood by the window for a long time, me watching his amazed astonishement for all those white glimmering and shimmering snow flakes in the air. His eyes are so wide now, they are soaking up everything around him.

We were on the run all day, running errands in the snow, taking pictures like crazy, we went to visit N in his office, got a biometric picture taken and then finally got mini-me's first passport! Not long until our first flight going home for Christmas, and not even three months until INDIA. What a wonderful day.

A few days ago I got an email by my blog provider, stating we've cracked the 100.000 visitor barrier. I'm happy and proud my baby has made it this far and cheers to the next 100.000. I got sick last week and have been fighting the cold ever since. Mini-me didn't care and lived happily ever after. He just sneezed a few times, but rather practiced rolling over (excuse me?!), plus goos and giggles. My dad came by for an hour or so and on saturday, N and I got a babysitter for the very first time. We went to take a few drinks at the opening of +-0, had a great time and I almost collapsed after a glass of red wine, resulting in telling my friends multiple times that I loved them (sorry for being annoying). The very best part of the whole night was probably coming home at 2am, being smiled at by a happy mini-me, expressing he didn't really need, but liked me. We're grooving! This week we walked a lot in the rain, received some lovely socks from Barcelona, went shopping (not fun after having a baby, to be honest), sent out some >>prints<< and started a photo album. Yes, this is what we did these days. Bye bye, November.

Unlike most Berliners alive I am so, so enjoying the weather outside. I love packing up mini-me and myself in cozy warm clothes and hit the road in the carrier or stroller, leaving for a cold breeze around the nose and return with rosy cheeks. I love the colours, the fog, the mudd and I love warm knits and my orange winter coat. And do I love it when Berlin's landmarks disappear in the clouds! Don't you?

Life has gotten a touch of normal, I am able to sit up straight again, we've been eating out a lot, I've had some time to photograph and paint (yes! this is new!) and even our sleeping schedule is alright these days. We love this new life, because it's so much better than the old one. (Do I sound lame? I don't care!) ♥

When I first found out I was pregnant (and that wasn't planned!) my first thought was: Oh my god, I'll have to cancel all my trips. Well, I didn't cancel all of them (not Istanbul, not Macedonia, nor Israel, nor Spain), but at least Abu Dhabi in October had to be shifted to another time. In March next year, I will take N. and mini-me with me on a job to India, that will most probably be extended to an adventure lasting a few days longer. You have no idea how excited we are! I can't wait.
