Nepal: Before Darkness.

Took this last night from the roof of the GIZ building in Patan. Just a few minutes before the whole city dipped into complete darkness (remember the >>power cut<<). We had to take a taxi going home because we would not have been able to find the bed&breakfast without light...

I love the power cuts! They give the day a strange structure. You need to actually think about when to take a hot shower, when to cool the food, when to write an email and when to get up in the morning in order to see yourself in the mirror. When power is off at night, the city seems to be under a spell, putting emphasis on the really important small things (and sleeping!).

After a day of shyness and a kind of "lost in translation" vibe on Monday, I think I got the flow now and feel much more comfortable already. We are still looking for an apartment, though.
