Since I'm so far behind on my iPhone diaries (thanks to India and all), here's a comprehensive post on the past four wonderful weeks (I excluded Oxford and India, because those are worth an individual post!). And dear Spring, I know you've heard this before, but please, please be a bit more dominant these days. There's still snow in front of my door! And it's almost April, okay?

My diary is still delayed, I've been crazily busy with some new jobs, preparations for Oxford and India, a teething and still quite cranky mini-me and all. Finally I'm getting sick of winter and am unpatiently waiting for spring to arrive.

A bit late but better than never, here's week #4 of 2013 in pictures. What you can't see on these, are the sleepless nights, some tears, the stress and all. But I am very optimistic that things are on their way to get better. Seriously.

The past week has been nerve-breaking, holding some extra portions of bad luck and chaos ins store for us. Anton decided to be cranky and winy too, so I had to pull myself together not to burst out in tears a few times. It seems as if he's gotten over a phase of mental and physical growth and possibly even teething now, but it wasn't easy, I tell you.

Getting a visa for India is quite a task to fullfill aswell. So much paperwork, organizing and printing... Though we're getting excited (and a bit anxious) over here, and we just hope we can get all our stuff together before that first big journey.

Can't wait for warm temperatures, crazy flavours, bright colours and all. It's been so long.

We've grooved into 2013, dealing with some troubling news along the way, found back into a daily routine, back to some work, long walks and some baby dates. Mini-me is considered the most calm baby alive by most people who've met him and we do love the silence, the giggles and smiles and enjoy up to 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep while it lasts.

We've been experimenting with date nights and found it to be no problem at all to leave Anton with a babysitter, we started cooking more (and healthier) and I have lost about half of my hair.

Along the way, I am planning our trip to India in March, wondering whether to fly Aeroflot or not, to fly non-stop or via stop-over, where to go when we are there, and how adventurous our first adventure could and should be.

I am optimistic and happy and can't wait for new horizons to be explored. And I do see a spark of excitement in Anton's big, dark eyes as well. I cannot wait to show the world to him.

Welcome to 2013. Last week we celebrated New Year's at my friends place, with good food, wine and fireworks, made long walks by the river, visited Anton's greatgrandmother, slept a lot, ate well and flew back home to Berlin.

The holidays were a beautiful but very stressful time - with so much family and friends wanting to see Anton for the first time. He's drowning in toys and stuffed animals now and a pro in staying relaxed while his parents were close to nervous breakdowns. We'll need to learn to say no eventually. Yet being home was wonderful, with passionate grandparents around and my little darling siblings caring for my baby. I gained at least 1.000.000 kilograms and will need to start a serious post-baby-and-post-holiday-diet soon.

These are the last iPhone diaries of 2012 - documenting nature and rising and declining water levels at the Rhine river during our time home for Christmas. I loved these settings so much.

We're getting ready for Christmas these days, buying and making last presents, eating tons of gingerbread and cookies and dancing in the snow. December has never been so lovely, if you ask me there's no need for summer anymore.

Mini-me has become the most relaxed, chilled-out baby. As long as he gets fed (often) and a diaper change every once in a while, he smiles and sleeps all day long. We're still waiting for the "war" people have predicted us. We're all in peace over here.

I got sick last week and have been fighting the cold ever since. Mini-me didn't care and lived happily ever after. He just sneezed a few times, but rather practiced rolling over (excuse me?!), plus goos and giggles. My dad came by for an hour or so and on saturday, N and I got a babysitter for the very first time. We went to take a few drinks at the opening of +-0, had a great time and I almost collapsed after a glass of red wine, resulting in telling my friends multiple times that I loved them (sorry for being annoying). The very best part of the whole night was probably coming home at 2am, being smiled at by a happy mini-me, expressing he didn't really need, but liked me. We're grooving! This week we walked a lot in the rain, received some lovely socks from Barcelona, went shopping (not fun after having a baby, to be honest), sent out some >>prints<< and started a photo album. Yes, this is what we did these days. Bye bye, November.
