I met Birte in >>New York<< two years ago during a workshop organized by >>Ostkreuz<<. She 's one of the very few students at the school (I haven't met that many to be honest) whose work I truly loved.

Birte is in the middle of her >>final thesis<< right now photographing a stunning project on >>"The Irish Travelers"<<, a community of nomads in Ireland. There aren't many students putting this much emphasis into their school projects and these photos are just amazing, shedding light into a society that hasn't been documented before.

This is a beautiful, a brave, yet an expensive project and Birte needs funding to pay for gas, for food and for flights while she lives in the middle of the people she is photographing and for prints and frames for the exhibition.
